Writer's picture: Larissa FogaçaLarissa Fogaça

Suppose you are like me and you love to watch food documentaries. In that case, even if you are cooking or doing something else and like to let the TV or tablet playing the show in the background, you will like my recommendations for my top 5 food documentaries to watch on Netflix:

Chef's Table

Each episode of this documentary features one chef, usually award-winning chefs, and it shows how they are changing the concept of food and their vision of what food is and how it can be meaningful for many people and cultures.

Street Food

This one shows traditional street foods from different cities. I like it because we can see how food is intertwined with the culture and history of each country.

Somebody Feed Phil

This is on the list because Phil Rosenthal has the job of my dreams; he travels worldwide, trying traditional food in many cities and countries. Also, he is super fun, and he has positive energy.

Ugly Delicious

Nominated for an Emmy as a nonfiction series, this documentary explores one type of food in each episode by analyzing cultural, sociological, and historical aspects of each one.

Rotten

This documentary shows the dark side of the food industry. It reports crimes, exploitation, and environmental impacts related to some foods' production.

Wich one you will watch first?
