Writer's picture: Larissa FogaçaLarissa Fogaça

Ceviche is a dish that originated in Peru and is made with raw white fish that is cured in lemon for about 30 minutes along with red onion, some type of pepper, salt, and cilantro. After 30 minutes the fish catches the flavor and it releases the juice called tiger milk, which in Peru they drink to cure hangovers and give strength to those who eat.

Usually, this dish is served with sweet potatoes and corn, which are very traditional products there. In fact, Peru is known for its wide variety of types of corn and potatoes that are found there and is also considered one of the best cuisines in the world.
