Yes, I found Acarajé in Seattle! And in a restaurant where the owners are not Brazilian.
@nueseattle is a restaurant founded by two partners who have traveled the world and decided to create this restaurant to celebrate world cuisine.
One of the partners is a Vietnamese refugee who came to the United States at the age of 7. She worked in the investment business for a good part of her life and she decided to open her restaurant based on the travel experiences she had throughout her life.
The restaurant's current menu features dishes from Ireland, Jamaica, Bali, Cuba, Malaysia, and more. I certainly have to go more often and taste more dishes.
